Job Flexibility & Constant Guidance
Status: Previously employed
I worked with Goodway in a part-time capacity while I completed my Masters Education. The teams are all flexible and masters at effective communication.

Goodway Group
Status: Previously employed
Unfair workload, poor management, and unhealthy level of stress. Repeatedly contacted manager about workload and pressure - was told he would follow up and speak with his supervisor. Issues were constantly ignored.
Pros
good benefits
Cons
workload

Good culture
Status: Employed
Great culture, very flexible allowing for work life balance, but workoad can be very heavy at times and you will end up having to do a lot of things that are not part of your job description

Skewed Priorities
Status: Employed
The pay scale is well below industry even for work from home positions and benefits are pretty low standard. While the company requires 2 week long trips to expensive locations and spends a great deal of money on bar tabs and other extravagances but barely reimburses employees for their travel expenses. While there are some good systems in place for billing and analytics there is little to no Account management Processes in place. Without checks and balances or processes in place for launches and tracking important data regarding accounts. This causes issues with communication from Sales & Account managers to those implementing the strategies.
Pros
Great work from home assistance and support
Cons
Lack of Process Management & too much spent on Partying and not on salaries and benefits

Once a Great Place to Work
Status: Previously employed
Goodway Group today is not the same organization that it was several years ago, or even a year ago. They have experienced both massive growth over the last three years and a significant reduction in force recently. While I believe that leadership intends to preserve the family culture and promote a healthy work-life balance, overall neither of these things are panning out within the organization. Employees are under constant pressure to perform at a level of excellence while access to appropriate resources nececary to efficiently complete job duties are at times lacking. The average workload within my department has nearly doubled on average over the last 18-24 months, even before the reduction in force. The average work week has gone from 40hrs/week to easily over 50hrs/week, often including weekends or holidays. Leadership routinely solicits feedback from employees. However, the issue of workload continues to be ignored. This is a very stressful work environment where employee concerns are invalidated.
Pros
Working virtually / from home
Cons
Stressful Environment, Workforce is too small for the amount of business, pay is below average, poor leadership at the supervisor level / leadership lacks training, long work weeks

Fast-growing company that cares about its employees
Status: Employed
Goodway is a truly unique company in the ad tech space. Being privately owned, it has full control of its own decisions and future. Being family owned, it truly cares about its employees and its ongoing legacy. Both of these factors contribute to a positive company culture. There are ample opportunities for growth and advancement for those with an entrepreneurial spirit who aren't afraid to try new things. The most successful individuals at Goodway are those who saw a functional gap in the organization and essentially created their own job by filling that functional gap. The culture is one of empowerment and treating people like adults. Being a 100% virtual company, Goodway recognizes that it can't micromanage work, so it doesn't. Employees are expected to manage their own calendar, projects and set the right expectations with co-workers and their manager. Extremely supportive of work/life balance and integration. If "life happens" during work hours, no problem, go deal with it. Everyone has your back. The majority of people are truly nice yet still ambitious - lots of great people to learn from. Great onboarding, internal systems & tools, knowledge documentation and overall support for getting work done. People don't hide information or try to sabotage anyone.
Pros
flexible schedule, work remotely, nice people
Cons
lots of work, lots of change, can feel chaotic at times
