Great experience, but not a good place to stay long.
Status: Previously employed
I spent over 2 years working for the major level 1 trauma hospital. We were constantly understaffed and the lowest paying system in the area. The benefits weren't great and parking was expensive. Short staffing created a dangerous environment for patients and employees. Employees would get injured from the lack of assistance. Patients were not receiving the level of care they deserved from the radiology department due to short staffing.

It’s alright
Status: Employed
Pay is not great, but benefits make up for it. Not much of a career ladder. Work begins to get monotonous after a while. You do get a pension which is pretty much unheard of

Work life balance
Status: Employed
The work life balance is ok. Depends on your manager and how sympathetic they are to having little kids at home that may require a change in work schedule. Otherwise, the overall work environment is positive.
