Position Purpose

The Digital Product Manager works in partnership with leaders from digital engineering, marketing, and other business stakeholders to define the product strategy and roadmap for strategic pillars of’s digital experience and leads a cross-functional team in its execution against this strategy.

This position plays a critical role in building a foundation of technical excellence that provides a world class experience for our customers, business users, and digital engineering teams through the tools, features, and capabilities enabled through our ecommerce platform and digital ecosystem.

This role also serves as Product Owner and is responsible for prioritizing and guiding the team’s work to deliver the maximum value possible to our customers, business users, and organizational stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering, user experience, and business stakeholders to define the vision and roadmap for’s digital leads experience.
  • Develop and execute strategies that bring this vision and roadmap to life.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our internal and external customer needs to advance the digital platform.
  • Serve as Technical Product Manager for all enterprise integration work, developing and executing the roadmap to strategically advance the customer experience across Sleep Number.
  • Conduct opportunity assessments and business case analysis for potential investments in the digital platform. Prioritize and manage the backlog of these investments based on customer and business value.
  • Track and manage the performance, usage, and impact of new capabilities and investments against forecasts and expectations.
  • Identify and drive actions to optimize user experience through a/b testing and user experience studies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the product roadmap, feature enhancements and digital capabilities and ensure that other teams and business users are getting the maximum value possible from the digital platform.
  • Serve as Product Owner for the Scrum team supporting the digital product roadmap. Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Advocate and evangelize the product roadmap within the Digital team, amongst cross-functional stakeholders and leadership to ensure transparency, awareness, and buy-in of roadmap priorities

Position Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in digital experiences, product management, ecommerce, or software development / operations
  • Agile Methodology/Scrum Process & associated workflow platforms (i.e. Jira, Confluence, AHA!)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
  • Experience with digital analytics & reporting tools (Omniture/Adobe, Google Analytics, New Relic, etc).
  • Customer, business, and analytic skills
  • Passion for digital product experiences
  • Technical savvy with ability to engage equally well in both the technical details and business/customer needs
  • Customer empathy for target market
  • Understanding of new technology and how it might be applied to solve relevant problems
  • Focus and prioritization that ensures the work and efforts of the team is consistently aligned to business and customer needs
