This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently assess the benefits needs of new employer groups with 100-149 lives, provide knowledgeable responses and request missing information as required.
  • Analyze initial Requests for Proposal (RFPs), underwriting guidelines and product offerings to identify if offer can be made; complete and respond effectively to all RFPs by partnering with internal and external business partners.
  • Systematically scrub data include RFP, Census and Experience data, for completeness and in accordance with minimum data requirements
  • Understand plan designs in order to set up and build in PRISM
  • Understand account structure in order to complete the rating in PRISM
  • Review rating reports for accuracy and reasonability; understanding variances
  • Provide accurate and timely delivery of proposal, meeting quality guidelines and turnaround times.
  • Ensure appropriate information flow to senior team members and to producers, field representatives, and third parties.
  • Manage work queue, escalating urgent issues to manager and proposing work solutions as necessary.
  • Proactively maintain case status in systems and assist Regional Account Executive.
  • Champion continuous improvement and change through identifying, planning and implementing improvements for the team or department.
  • Participate in special projects which support segment needs and effectively assess and communicate business impacts.
  • Adhere to required documentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience with financial ratings preferred.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits products; must be able to review and understand prior carrier booklets.
  • Proficiency in manual rating for all products sold in PA space (ex: STD, LTD and Life, Voluntary products).
  • This position requires an 18 month commitment before being able to post internally for another role.
  • Understanding of organizational processes, methods and systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of products and operational parameters.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$45,600 - $68,400
